Pharmacy First
Pharmacy First is an NHS service that encourages patients to visit their local pharmacy first instead of going to their GP for a range of conditions which can be assessed and treated by pharmacists. The conditions that are covered and the eligible patients can access free advice and treatment for includes (but is not limited to): Urinary Tract Infection - for women age 16 to under 65 years), Impetigo and Infected nappy rash. Think pharmacy first. Local and convenient access to expert advice and treatments.
NHS 111 Referral
We offer the NHS 111 community pharmacy consultation service, whereby 111 may refer you to our pharmacy for health advice and treatment for a range of conditions.
New Medicine Service
Providing support for patients diagnosed with a long term condition who have a newly prescribed medicine. To help improve your adherence and your understanding of the medicine generally leading to better health outcomes.
Minor Ailment Service
Instead of booking and waiting for a GP appointment you can visit your local pharmacist. We can help you with many common health complaints, we can give advice or where appropriate we can offer medicines that will help clear up the problem (we will advise you to see your GP if we feel that is needed.)
Medicines Optimisation
Medicine use reviews are a part of the Advanced Services of the community pharmacy contract. This will involve the pharmacist conducting a structured review with the patient about their medicine use. The aims of this service are to improve patients’ knowledge, concordance and use of medicines.
Emergency Contraception
Contraceptive advice including the morning after pill. This service is for confidential advice and for the provision of Emergency Hormonal Contraception.
Condom Supply
The C-card scheme gives young people quick and easy access to condoms. It also offers a safe environment where it is easy to seek advice and information about sexual health topics and relationships. C-card is a free and confidential service for people under a certain age (please check with the pharmacy). You don’t even need to be sexually active. If you are thinking about having sex you can register and be ready. No booking required just visit your local Pharmacy.
